Offering mediation options to meet your individual needs from not only a family law attorney, but from a woman that grew up with divorced parents and has gone through the dissolution process and co-parenting personally.

“I understand.”

Pro Se Litigants: If you do not have an attorney and are representing yourself, you are “pro se.” Mediation is a great option before or after either party hires an attorney. Mediation may also be court ordered as part of your pending legal matter. As a mediator, mediator Marta Farmer will assist you with professionalism and treat you with dignity as you work through mediation of your dispute.

Attorneys: With 120 hours of specialized training in facilitative mediation, over 12 years of experience in family law, and 5 years of teaching college courses in person and online, Marta Farmer can bring well-balanced expertise to your client's mediation needs.

Flexibility: Mediation can be conducted via telephone conference, video conference, in person, or through a hybrid approach to meet the needs of all parties involved. The Law Offices of Marta Farmer also reserves a limited number of weekend and evening meditation times per month as we recognize that work schedules and childcare are often challenges to scheduling.

The Agreement: Following the mediation, you or your attorney will be provided with a first draft of the agreement(s) in a timely manner. We also offer packages for situations in which neither party has an attorney to assist the parties in filing the agreement(s) reached in mediation.

The Fee: Hourly and flat rate fee arrangements based upon the parties’ needs and how the mediation is conducted. Travel and mileage based upon location.

“My goal is to take as much anxiety and stress away from the mediation process while allowing parties to express their emotions and needs in a safe, confidential, and resolution driven environment.”
